So people it's one month until Carnival in Antigua! This is for those of you...who want to get in the Carnival Mood :D!

Should You Ever Be Concerned Over An EXE?

There is so much talk about whether or not the person you're dating or involved with should be concerned about your ex...

This topic has many opinions surrounding it because there's always the question/statement of............ "Shouldn't you leave the past...in the past?"

While I agree with this...I am also sceptical because NOT all exes are BAD! Some come into your life for a reason at one point in time and space....maybe to make you realize something or get you closer to God, family or friends....but if they come back into your life maybe the second (third, fourth, fifth...lol) time...it might be the right time, being that both of you are (hopefully) on the same level and totalling committing yourselves to one another.

But then on the flip side there are Exes who ARE BAD (for you)...y’all ended terrible, you fight a lot and could never see yourselves with that person everrrr again...
This could be a good idea when saying you should definitely leave the past in the past because the two of you are clearly not for each other...one would think...

However, there are situations that occur when exes (who've done good or bad to each other) get back together...and live their lives like nothing ever happened.
Of course they've shared great times together and will continue to carry good and bad memories...especially if they been together for awhile or just broke up....

So my question is do you think is acceptable for the new person coming into the relationship to be jealous or concerned about the ex?
In my opinion I think it all depends on their situation for example if they ended on a bad note but he or she’s ex still wants them or if you know in your heart that you're just the rebound person you have a right to be concerned...also when getting to know your partner there’s the period where most will talk about their past relationships the things they liked and didn’t like...and it would be kind of fishy if you share your past with them but they (the person with the recent exe factor) won’t share theirs with you...this could too stir up some concern...

BUT (there’s always a but) if he or she isn't giving you anything to go on, trust them, let it go and be happy! Don’t go around looking for trouble and assume because you might just find it and be right.

I realize it is hard getting over an ex whether it is because of their smile, personality, the time you’ve spent/wasted with them or their great sex...some do still have a huge effect of you especially if you still love and care about them...I understand it could take a long time to get over the person you were once in love or lust with! But remember if you’re not over them, it’s OKAY to be single...don’t rush into something with someone else because you may hurt them in the long run or short run...and that isn’t very nice!

So what do you think? Do you agree with me...or not? Should you leave the past...in the past?

Sooo for the past few days I’ve been trying to decide what I should do with my hair for Antigua...its between three styles:

1. Where my natural curls
2. Get kinky or sleek aka Senegalese twists
3. Braids

Now I have had twist before when I went to Cuba but I wasn’t into them and I made the decision that I would never again put them in my hair...however, I don’t really feel like doing and worrying about my hair while I am on vacation in the Caribbean..so it looked like I might breakdown and put them in...

Last year some time ago I wrote a lonnnng list of the things I wanted to accomplish and do before 2010 (the worst year yet) ended. .
This is it. .
1. Study for my LSAT and write in DEC
2. Go to the Bahamas !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (which is happening...pretty sure)
3. FIND A JOB during school
4. Go to Miami and play in their carnival (Oct 8th-11th)
5. Go to NY for labour day and play in their carnival..and SHOP til I can't no where!
6. Go back to toronto and attend a SOCA SWEETNESS fete.
7. Go to NY for new years
8. Go to Montreal in Nov..and go an extra day!
9. Go out as much as possible before school starts cuz after that.....its me and my sexy books ;-)
10. Get all the birthday gifts i owe to my gyal done...(before the end of sept...at the latest)
11. Then theres CHRISTMAS...which involves a whole lot of spending and doing... but in general i'd like to have money for that occasion .and get allll my gifts (and not have I owe you's like last christmas)

So lets go through this list :-P
Numbers 1, 2, and 3 were a success. I studied for the LSAT but I wrote in FEB 2011, I went to Nassau Bahamas on Aug 28th :-D and I was able to even find a job before I went.. (which is DALPLEX) .
Numbers 4, 5, 6 and 7 were all a DUD.
Numbers 8, 9, and 10. I got to go to MTL and for the extra day (yay), I most def went out (and still am) as much as possible..had to #liveitup!!! I got all my gyals their gifts except one...(she knows who she is!) However, the year just started over, so I owe two of my gyals.
Number 11. . I had money during christmas and worked a lot which was a blessing!

i will be soon writing a new list...so watch out for that !!!

Bored much??!!

So now that the day is almost over. . I'm in my room listening to ADVANTAGE by none other than Machel Montano one of the greatest soca artist everrr!!! And quite bored outta my head...

First off my day was pretty decent. I started my day off by going to church wid my family!
Oh btw I finalllly wore my new babies :-D


After Church I put the Broccoli Salad together for dinner, then went to my Nanny's for an hour or so...

I then came back home and hung out wid the rest of my fam!
We eat of course and had lots of good laughts!!!
Heres my delic food! See the little piece of chicken I had...I filled my plate with salads (Broccoli-I made :-D, Bean and this other salad that was amazing!!!!

Man I lovvvvve my family times !!!!!

So now as I'm writing this...I'm watching criminal minds...and waiting for SPICE WORLD to come on channel 17 :-D

I know I know...its been awhile again...

But I'm official done my Dalhousie University Undergrad Career!!! Bach of Arts...HOLLER :-D

Lots of things have changed!!!

Wait...maybe not...
I'm done school ...for now..still trying to get back in school...for Sept 2011!!!
Graduation on May 24th..in just 15 days!!!
I'm still trying to find a summer job...still employed at Dalplex but its a casual job (meaning NO hours ...ever)
It's almost CARNIVAL Season...all the band launches are beginning to show their face..and I'm gettin soooo excited for all of them.
Aug 1st and 2nd marks carnival monday and tuesday...this year in ANU where i'll be...I'm starting the countdown now... 85 days...#justsayin'

OHHHH YEAHhhhhh and it is a special day today....Its MOTHER'S DAY..So happy Mother's day to all the Mother's especially mine, my grandmothers, and all of my aunts!!!
Since it's such a special day..We in the HUDSON/BUNDY/DOWNEY/etc lol Household decided to stay home and everyone make a dish...I made Broccoli Salad we also have chicken, rice, potatoes, fish, ham, bean salad, mac and cheese, i think i'm missing a few things... :-D then for DESSERT we have apple pie and lemon pie!!!

Things I'd like to do before 2k10 is over!

So guys summer is almost over (sad face) , and Schools coming, Concordia will be here next week, and Christmas will be in 3 weeks...okay not really....but anywho the time is ticking..and FAST at that...
Carnvial just ended (yes i am still on it...b/c a had the time of my life and I'm actually soo serious) and there are sooo many things i'd like to do before this year is over..
there is no specific order of how i want to do things either

So I played with Carnival Nationz again this year for caribana..
Our theme this year paid respect to the Mighty Sparrow aka known as the King of Calypso!!!!!!!
There was various sections names after his favorite songs such as D'Lizard, Congo Man,Jean and Dinah, Sa sa yeah,drunk and disorderly, Saltfish and etc..along with the sold out section D'birdie which is his nickname.
I think this years theme was like no other... and each section portrayed the theme greattt!!!!!!!!!!!!However this year we came only in second place and Saldenah band coming in first with them theme of Portraits ..their theme ws quite creative and I will give them there props, but they did not deserve to beat us by 20 whole pts.... I still think you must give credit where credit is due,..and i feel that CARNIVAL NATIONZ should have been BAND of di year...for 2k10...we were very creative, consistant and although we shouldn't of been the 6th band to jump down di road (b/c we won last year)...we worked it...HARD. But the judges thought different and I can't change that...but next year...we coming....and in FULL force!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ps. Toronto Revellers theme suckkkkked wid their theme of disco fever...which looked like road kill... and they came in third..only 4 pts above us...how is that possible...? I stillllll think Jamaal Magloire paid the judges for third place...:-P

THE TRUE CARNIVAL EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!!!!

Hello my peeps!!!!!!

I know it's been awhile since I've last posted something...but I've been suuuupppppppppppper busy with work and school..thank God school is over tho. And I will be writing a lot more often!!!

Sooooo onto my 1st true Carnival 2k10 experience...I have played MAS before but this year was quite different and veryyyyyy exciting!

I'll give some background info by saying...I arrived in Toronto Wednesday July 28th at 10pm, and come Thursday the greatest started with driving to Buffalo for the day to get outfits for the HUGE weekend!! Then arriving bac to the dot Thursday night from a l0onnnnng day in Buffalo.

Friday:

Me and my gyals got our nails did on Eglinton ave aka Jamaica ave..ya know because our nails had to be lookin fresh ..ya dig!

then we ate at one of my fav places called Mancha ...which we all had JERK CHICKEN and RICE AND PEAS...booooooy is was GOOD!!!!!!!!!!

Then we went down town (yonge st) and did some last minute shopping for the fetes we were going to!....we thought we were going home...however REGGIE and DOGGYDog or however you say it ...wanted to drink with us...and made us late for meeting Deej to go to GLOW.

Soooooooo we went to GLOW (keep in mind we arrived at the club quite late) and as soon as we was in di place guys was on us like water in a glass...HARD. what can I say we was the life of the party...REAL TALK. btw JW & Blaze were doing their ting on stage...wid PALANCE...and everybody inna di club was palancing...sooooo we were dancing with guys for like a couple songs...mind you we tryna get away tho...cuz aint no one dancin with the same nig the whole damn night....we tryna explore...dannnnng....

soooo we moved....next crowd of guys tryna dance wid us alll night...i just had to STOP..and say I dont feel like dancin anymore...so we movvvvvve along....btw the DJ's are HOTTTTT ...like they playing alll di big tunes ....they call on another performer....and I almost DIED...b/c it was Mr. Machel himself...and when I say this man can PERFORM....its an understatement. HE WAS AMAZING. soooon after he did his thing. we was out! and onto the next party that night....

we arrived at SHINE around 330/4am and it was still poppin' off...the highlight of Shine was Shurwayne Winchester doing his ting...howeverrrrr he mussi played DEAD or ALIVE 16 times. nevertheless he PERFORMED!!!..then they served us BREAKFAST...it was west indian breakfast..which was quite different and damn good! we got bac to the telly around 6...i got in the shower, hit the sheets by 7 up by 9.

Carnival day!!!!
so we got our costumes ready making any adjustments that needed to be done and then deej did all of our make up..
since i was the first person ready I got my make-up done first

we got the parade around 11. During that time we walked around and we ate our jerk chicken and rice and peas..
We finally got in our sections !!! My section was D'Lizard hence the green costume! And waited to cross the stage..we all crossed to PALANCE :-P



After we crossed we waited for Jean and Dinah to cross ...the section Rajean, Nicole and Sheri was in.
Once they were done we wait on di run to jump up!!!
I stayed close by SOCA SWEETNESS'S truck (best soca dj right now) and whined to his vibes!!!


We were whining up our waistlines the rest of the day until around 7pm.
of course before we left we bumped into a few ppl we knew from back here and from the dot also.
SOCAVIVOR feat Machel Mantono and the HD family at the wild water kingdom was poppin' harrrrrd! wish i could had got on bad....but my feet were on a different level. so i couldnt mishave like I wanted to!!! nevertheless MACHEL and Patrice were on POINT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sunday
we woke up around 2 becuase we got home around 6am...we chilled.I had to stay off my feet to save them for FIRE FETE.
I noe understand why they call it fire fete...because it was BLAZIN' HAWT people were palancing and just whining wid noooo behaviour allllll night long!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! me and my gyal certainly did our ting...REAL TALK, :-P ...I went off by myself a few times to for a new scene...and I happened to run into an TALL old friend who use to play for CB b-ball team...also raan into ya girl Wande....seemed like she had fun. got to see lots of performances such as Buffy, Denise Belfon, JW&Blaze, Shal, Patch,Ravi B, and much more I can't remember right now..
we got home around 7 after wasting time wid LOSERS. and went to BED!

So your question is did I have fun?
BEST TIME I EVER Had yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
who ever wants to play mas next year get at me, b/c you will have an AWESOME time just like we did!!!!

I'm on bossip...havent been on for quite some time....So i decided to tek a look and catch up on the celeb news...
I came across a blog which asked women are they wifey material.
So here it is.

Flip flops b/c there will be a lot of palancing goin on and they might come pon my foot..lol

Right now I'm at work..thinking how Blessed I am to have 6 bestfriends....and I know what your thinking, "no one can have 6 bestfriends"....but thats not true at all...b/c I do!!! Monique, Rajean, Nicole, Lameia, Nehnika and Cinera are not only my bestfriends, but their my SOUL MATES, I say this b/c we as a "crew" fit sooo well with each other. Yes we have our ups and downs, (more ups than downs) and we learn from everything. We can talk to each other about anything, and the type of relationship we have with one another, we can talk about ANYTHING.. from good, bad, sad, etc...YEs we are alll soooo different...but our differences is what makes us fit and feel special together!

I think we are so strong b/c we all have GOD in our lives, and when hes the CENTRE of your being...nothing can break you apart...nothing can break US apart...

I love these girls much more then words can describe, and I just want to say I LOVE YOU GUYS SO MUCH....and THANK YOU for always being there, whenever I need you guys!

Changes in Royal Jail, Saltfish and Sexy Marajhin :O

As a lot of you know I wanted to play in the Royal Jail Section of CNz 2k10....the reason why I didnt wasnt b/c it didnt have a waist peice or shorts..and I didnt want to have my booty every which way......BUT now they do....and it makes the custume look soooooo much more appealing with the Belt option....I'm pretty pissed b/c it was my number one pick...its orange which is sooooo bright and SEXY and I LOVE the gem concept.

They also made changes with Saltfish making it bling with slash of Blue (which is pretty damn HOTT) even more and the head piece is AMAZING!
Not mention Sexy Marajhin is EVEN Sexier...then it was before.

So for those of you who are still thinking about playing mas.....ROYAL JAIL is where its AT...Real talk!.
